Batman Batmobile Vehicle for 6" Action Figures (2003 Mattel)

This incarnation of the Batmobile is all about size: TALL tailfins, WIDE stance, and LONG wheelbase. But what points are gained for size, are lost when considering paint and detailing. The car is molded in some bluish, slightly iridescent plastic that leaves unsightly whorls and scratches in the finish. The painted areas are sloppily done and poorly aligned. In all, the car looks much better on the website than it does in actuality-which may explain why it and most of the other larger Batman vehicles don't come in windowed packaging. The design, however IS cool-very emotive and exotic. I just wish that the vehicle matched the level of attention and care that was obviously taken in creating the new 6" figures that are meant to accompany the thing.

We bought this TOY for our son who is a Batman junkie to PLAY WITH! What I do not understand is this Batmobile is sold in the TOY SECTION although it has not been built for play! It would be great to put up on a shelf and look at, the details or amazing but no 4 year old is going to do that! The "jet pack" does not stay on the batmobile or Batman! The rear tail of it is extremely sharp which makes it near impossible to push around on the floor & they continually fall off and we have to reattach them!! I would love to see a line of BATMAN TOYS THAT CAN BE PLAYED WITH instead of sitting high on a shelf!! If our son was not so attached to this batmobile we would take it back and get something different! If you are buying this to play with, keep searching!!

This toy looks great and cool but the pieces keep falling off the car. My 5 yr old got it for his birthday but I keep having to put the pieces on it over and over again. And Robin is nowhere to be found. So Batman doesnt have a Robin rider.

My son received this for his 4th birthday. When we tried to put it together right out of the box it already started to fall apart. We ended up taking off all of the parts you are supposed to put on and only had the motorcycle which detaches from the car. My son plays with the motorcycle more than the car. I paid $25 for this and it wasn't worth the plastic it was molded with. My son stopped playing with it after two weeks because it was so junky and he would cry when it would fall apart.

My husband purchased this toy online for our son. He was overseas so I was the one who had the task of putting it together. First of all, it was very hard to assemble. The pieces had to snap into one another which seems easy but is not. I finally took it to my neighbor who is fairly strong and he also had a hard time, but finally succeeded. Not only was it hard to put together but you had to be careful while assembling it so that you would not loose an eye. The ends are very pointed. As hard as it is to put together it is equally hard to keep together. I am continuously reassembling it, even though each time gets a little easier, it gets more annoying. My son gets frustrated every time it falls apart. I have never in my life had such an awful toy. Today I assembled the toy for the last time and hung it on the wall. Again, due to the ends being so pointed I hung it fairly high on a wall. In conclusion, SAVE YOUR MONEY.

My six year old son,who loves cars,had to have this for his collection. After putting it together and not having figures to put in the car we rushed out to get Batman and Robin. No Robin anyplace and two different batman's[6"]did not fit in seats. Legs were too wide for passenger seat and top would not close down over figure in driver's seat. Figure's were returned and considering returning the batmobile too! Wasted much of my time running around searching and returning.

I bought this toy for my son on his fifth birthday. He had been wanting it for a while and his enthusiasm was short lived when he finally got it. He lost most of the pieces right away and the parts that are not lost continue to fall off of the mobile. Also, the car is so low to the ground that it can not be pushed across the carpet without the fins getting snagged. I wish I would have known that it was not intended to be played with before I bought it.

After we took this out of the box, we couldn't believe how sharp and rigid the tail pieces were. We cut off the points to make the ends blunt for a little piece of mind seeing that it would be in the hands of a four year old. But why should the consumer need to spend a great deal of money on a child's toy and then have to make it safer? And finally-WHERE IS ROBIN? What a brilliant idea to create a special pull out section for an impossible to find sidekick!

I always falls apart, and my son stops playing with it once it does, it was one of his Christmas gifts, and I think it was the worst because the parts just fall off during play time.

My son LOVES his Batmobile, but it falls apart ALL THE TIME!! It's so poorly made. Plus, it doesn't specify on the box what size Batman fits in it and there are so many to choose from. Robin was nearly impossible to find and you need him because there are two seats...and is a special motorcycle for Robin! It's so frustrating!
