Batman Begins Deluxe Batmobile Vehicle

Since 1989 or so we've basically had the same Batmobile being produced by Kenner. Of it was slightly different from the movie version to the Batman the Animated Series version, but it was still the same base design of a long, sleek, low to the ground car. One wonders how a car that long and low to the ground would have any kind of real maneuverability. Now comes along Batman Begins with a whole new take on the Batmobile. Combining a squat, hummer-like look with an almost off-road ATV for a totally new and inspired Batmobile. This toy is as tough and rugged as it looks with no fins or other parts popping off. Mine's strictly a display item but kids will love this one indoors or outdoors. The rubber tires are a welcome addition from the years of plastic ones. The sounds and lights are an added bonus. I'm glad to see Mattel back in the action figure game!

My 5 year old was hooked on this toy when it first came out. Now that the movie has just released on DVD and it contains a lot of batmobile footage....he is hooked all over again! My kid is REALLY hard on his toys and most are missing heads, arms, legs, broken or dismantled within a day. This toy is still working 100% and still in one piece! This is not a junk toy and well worth the money spent.

Not much more to add to the previous review except what a collector wants to know. I don't invest in much Mattel and Hasbro has to offer in the line of vehicles. This is because for some reason, both have a tendency to mold the tires of their vehicles on the "show" side only. Which means that they mold half a tire only, out of plastic with the other inside half open and hollow. This looks and is cheap.

Well, this Batmobile has soft rubber (or vinyl) pneumatic tires on full rims. Traction is great and the look and feel are excellent. This is a heavy vehicle as a result. This feature was the selling point for me. Well done Mattel, well done indeed.

My 13 year old son bought this toy with a gift certificate he got for his birthday. And he absolutely loves it! He says, "I like the toy very much! I really, really like it! It launches rockets and it makes lots of cool noise." He plays with it a lot, and it's also good for scaring the cats. lol.

I bought the batmobile last week and to my surprise, this toy is not only sick; this toy can take a beating. My son and I played with it on the hallway, and had several accidents where it smashed against the wall. Guess what, not a single scratch!!!!! We love this toy and hope to get the R/C version soon!!!

All of the kids love this batmobile. Unfortunately we lost the darts the first day. :(

I recently gave this car as a birthday gift to a four year old boy in my home daycare. He loves it so much! It is very detailed and yet still very rugged. He has had two problems with it but an older child would have more patience. It's difficult getting his Batman to sit all the way down in the seat. And unless he's all the way down, the top won't close and has popped off (it looks difficult to pop off, but this kid has done it). It's easy for an adult to pop back on. The second issue has been getting the arrows that shoot out back into the guns. You have to rotate them until they pop in. These are pretty minor problems if you have a child with a little patience and the overall quality far outweighs these issues.

If you're unsure of what to buy for a birthday present, this is it. I bought it for my 7 year old and every boy from age 4 and up love it. When we have play groups, all the kids want it.

The product is impressive but it more delightful if a miniature of batman is included. I thought a miniature of batman is included in this product. Well anyway, the product is impressive.

I just picked this bad boy up today and I gotta say, I never seen a more accurate toy of a vehicle featured in a movie. The batmobile featured in the Batman Begins movie kicks some serious tail and this toy does justice to that movie version. For one, the looks just imply this car/tank/humvee is intimidating and built for business. The paint job is nice, despite it being a dark hue of purple. As Bruce Wayne would say "Does it come in black?" I do like the "battle damage" as it shows it's seen some action. The tires, what can I say, WOW! I expected them to be (and without disappointment), hard plastic but I do like how Mattel gave it some realism with the air tires. The missile gimmick works well and is hidden nicely. The electronics are a nice bonus but I would've been happy without them. I picked up a Battle Gear Batman figure as he seems to be the only one without having his suit permanently altered for whatever gimmick it may use. Anyway, he sits in the Batmobile snugly, the legs you have to work to get in the cockpit but without too much effort. The vehicle runs along the floor smoothly, carpet or tile.

If you're a collector or just love Batman toys, this is a must have. As far as Batmobiles go, this one goes right up there with the one from the 1989 Batman film with Michael Keaton.
