This score is a great one. They started the current Batman film franchise and got two great composers. This soundtrack definitely has many great songs. This review will give you an idea of what the score sounds like by giving you the details of three of the varied styles found in this soundtrack. "Eptesicus" gives the theme for the Batman Begins film, and has a lot of strings with occasional brass. It builds up from a quiet song into the full fledged Batman theme for the movie. "Lasiurus" is a song that I think reflects on Rha's al Ghul. It has his woodwind theme at the beginning, but moves into a deep, string filled piece. It is very quiet and beautiful music. This soundtrack also has the song "Molossus." This song is for some of the more action packed scenes. It has drums that have an alomst continuous beat, and various other instruments that enter and exit randomly to make it exciting and fast paced. This score gets its five stars for its variety and overall just great themes and music. I recommend this soundtrack to anyone who enjoys Batman or soundtracks in general.

I really enjoyed the score to Batman Begins, from things that made it and things that didn't make it to the CD. There were more bits and cues in the movie that could have made the soundtrack a whole lot more than what it is now. I wanted to see more of Zimmer and Howard.
Perhaps and expanded score will get a release in the future.
Still, nonetheless, I enjoyed the many motifs and themes. Lasirus being my fave.

This music from Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard is excellent. I really enjoyed the movie, and the music was a big part of why it was so good. The price is the best that I could find anywhere, and right now (when this was written) this soundtrack is not even available on ITunes. It is an hour worth of listening, and you will want to listen to it again and again.

This is one of the best soundtracks ever and Hans Zimmer does not disappoint. The music from the movie is presented in high quality and this disc provides hours of entertainment for the avid music listener.

This is a truly another winner from Hans Zimmer - as good or better than Shawshank Redemption. I purchased this before I saw the film, and I have to say I enjoy the
Soundtrack much more than the movie. Dark, strong and beautiful melodies - just like Batman himself(!) Highly recommend this soundtrack if you're a Zimmer fan.

Very accurate representation of the Movie. It will make you feel like you are in the movie, especially if you have the stereo really loud.

Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard have made ia very good sountrack. A sountrack a caracter like this one deserves, full of mystery and that makes you imagine Batman fighting in an epic moment. My favorite cut is #10 full of instruments and it makes you feel the thrill of the story. I highly recommend it.

This is no campy Bat.
It's Batman in the real world & you love every minute.
Nolan knows Batman like no other.

A lot of good ambiance music is in this soundtrack. I don't usually listen to it 'for fun' like I would listen to Kung Fu Panda or Pirates of the Caribbean, mostly because the majority of the music sounds very similar and it's difficult for me to pinpoint any particulars with actual 'feeling' to them. There are some tracks, however, that I am partial to (most of these tracks are quiet, however, but have highlights near the beginning or end that I enjoy), particularly Why So Serious?, Harvey Two-Face, and Aggressive Expansion.

Fortunately even though the majority of this soundtrack is ambient and undefined, it matches the movie perfectly, because the visuals and story of the film are what take the cake in The Dark Knight - not the score.
