Amazon.com Review
Based on the direct-to-video release of
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, this eponymous title is quite simply one of the worst superhero video games ever made--which means, considering how awful entries in this genre tend to be, that it's pretty darn bad.
Contrary to the futuristic theme of the Batman Beyond cartoon series, this pathetic effort is hopelessly dated in terms of gameplay--which is of the side-scrolling brawler variety--as well as graphics and sound, both of which would have been barely passable on the last generation of video game systems. And, given this relic's clumsy, unintuitive controls, even retro video game fans will have a hard time stomaching this one. --Joe Hon
Pros:
- Features Batman Beyond characters and artwork
Cons: - Ridiculously dated gameplay, graphics, and sound
- Clumsy, unintuitive controls
