I'll admit that this game isn't great it ain't as bad as the Batman Forever games on the 16 bit systems at least I can go across the screen & kick peoples a$$es I don't have to enter a weird button combination to use weapons. I mean there are better beat em ups out there this is an ok game it doesn't follow the movie that well the ending was kind of lame. Basically the story is about Riddler & his boxes that read peoples minds & Two Face killing Dick Graysons parents. The game is 2 players you can play as Batman & Robin it's ok but for a better beat em up with Batman play Batman Returns on SNES.

This game is nothing short of a thumb-mash fest. Ouch. It's basically an arcade game layout like the old Mortal Kombat's or whatever I've seen in actual arcades. You just move with only the directional pad and go crazy with the kicks and punches. It's hard for someone like me, a new gamer, who's used to PS2 games and those being much more free flowing it seems in movement. I guess since this is an older style game it should be easier, but, for me it just wasn't! It was painful! Maybe I'm a thumb wimp and should stick to Lego Star Wars, but liking Batman and played through Batman Begins and Batman: Rise Of Sin Tzu with excitement, I thought I'd give this PS1 game a try. Like I said it's very old style (as old as the movie Batman Forever I would imagine) and thus it's like the arcade game that was in arcades of that time. At least with the big old arcade games you had a big knob stick thing to use and big buttons to mash....using my controller just hurts. Oh, I've said that enough already. The game looks very cool with great colors, and the sound effects are pretty neat and some of the voicings sounding like the movie. It's just annoying to punch and kick non-stop in one spot.
