4.0 out of 5 stars Batman: the Animated Series, come to life November 12, 2001
The title says it all. This game is a fun, action-packed adventure that brings the animated series to life on your tv. This game promises to look and play better on GameCube than on other systems, because it runs at a constant 60 fps (frames per second) which makes the animation appear smoother. The developers also added some extra graphics effects that weren't possible on Xbox or PS2, such as volumetric (more realistic) fog and smoke. This game will not disappoint Batman fans!

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, a Batman worth playing!! November 20, 2001
By Brizzle
As a Batman fan, I can let out a sigh of relief. I picked up this game on launch day and am I ever glad I did. The story, cutscenes, gameplay, and music are terrific. . .and the voices from the animated series, what more could you ask for. It is not without its flaws, but the feeling you get to finally be the Dark Knight the way he is meant to be outweighs any mishaps about the game. Well done Ubi-soft, my hat goes off to you. If you like games, buy this one!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good game. Fun!! March 18, 2002
This game has it all! It is very simmilar to spiderman for the n64, but in my opinion, better! The graphics in the game are great, a lot better than the ps2 version in terms of surroundings and there are enhancements.(Trust me, i own a gamecube and ps2. I rented both versions of the game) The levels are fun, The gameplay will take a while to master, but gets better as you progress through the game. The fighting system is ok, but can be a bit confusing. If you are an inexperienced gamer, I suggest NOT to get this game. It will be a bit confusing. The only downfalls are in the batmobile chase. There are no brakes. There should have been more levels in the game. I cant wait for batman: dark tomorrow!

3.0 out of 5 stars Doesnt live up to the potential February 20, 2002
By A Customer
I rented this game at Blockbuster a few weeks ago and i got bored with this game in three days. Batman, I admit looks pretty cool with the cartoon style, but this game has a lot of things wrong with it. The developers should have worked these things out before putting this game on the market. The cut-scenes and movie are pretty cool, but the lip-synch on the game absolutly [stunk]. I hate when you are in a fight and you cant get your item because you have to put the game in first-person, pick the right item, and use it. All the time wasted getting a item, your opponent was kicking your booty. Please, anyone dont waste your time or money on this piece of...

4.0 out of 5 stars This game is really cool February 27, 2002
This game is awesome if your any good at it. I read one of the reviews and the guy who wrote it said it was to hard because in first person you have to switch your to the write item while walking. That gets a lot easier. He said it was too hard for other reasons too. If to hard, why are my sister and I on the next to last level in 4 weeks,(although I'm pretty good at these kind of games)he must be an easy game addict. It's really cool because you get to play against all the main villians and their thugs, if you combine buttons you can do cool moves when fighting, the pics in between play are good, and you don't know what to expect. The only thing that's bad about it is it doesn't have Robin. This game is worth its money if you like fast action adventure games that makes it a challenge to figure out what to do.

4.0 out of 5 stars Rather 4 and 3\4 stars.... January 6, 2002
A Kid's Review
This game is definatly a great game becasue it relieves us of the long history of bad super hero games(with the exception of Spiderman). The plot is interesting and immersing. Over 500 animated moves (gasp) have been programed into this game. The gameplay and controls are excellent, and so are the graphics. However to use some of your Bat Gadgets, you need to switch views. this can annoying when you first start out, but it later becomes second nature. My personal favorite part of the game is leaping from building to building using your Bat Hook. Fortunatly, this game has a free enviorment; you go wherever you want. All in all, i would recommand this game to anybody looking for a new, good game.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great graphics, but shallow gameplay November 27, 2001
By Tim
If any of you out there remember the old "Dragon's Lair" that was mainly in the arcades, but came out on SEGA CD, this reminds me a lot of that style of game. Batman:V is really nothing more than a narrowly interactive cartoon. The true gaming part of the game is nothing more than segues from cut scene to cut scene. In short, it feels like I am watching this game more than playing it. I felt much the same way when I played Sonic Adventure for Dreamcast. Some of the sections are nothing more than Batman finding something and picking it up. Horrible. On the plus side, the graphics are amazing, and if you are a fan of the new cartoons, you truly will enjoy this. The voice of Batman is the same person that does his voice on the cartoon, and the characters are all drawn like the cartoon. There are some sections of the game that are fun- don't get me wrong. But I enjoy playing a game more than watching it. Buy it if you love Batman, not if you love the true third, and sometimes first, person adventure games.
