My 5 year old granddaughter loved this set. She particularly liked the cage, and used it for a variety of stuffed animals. The stuffed dog that came with it was rather cheaply made, I thought. However the vet tools were well made and there were lots of them--led to much creative play.

We got this for my 3 year old niece for her birthday, but after she opened it my 2 year old, 5 year old and 7 year old were all playing with it just as much as she was. There are plenty of food/vet pieces for everyone to pick their favorite tool/food to use at the same time. The dog is small, but soft and cute. I liked that everything cleans up into the dog's cage when you are done playing. Very fun!

We bought this vet kit for our 3 year old son after reading the positive reviews. Unfortunately, I am not happy with the purchase.

The small dog, which many reviewers noted as their only complaint, seems fine to me. My son puts other stuffed animals in the carrier so it isn't a big deal.

The bigger problem for me is that the kit comes with 17 random vet tools, way more than necessary. He has only had the kit for one day and already I can't find half of the tools. Several are flimsy and the stethoscope won't even stay on my son's ears -it twists sideways when you try to put it on. For the price, I would have preferred about 5 or so well made vet tools instead of a huge pile of flimsy plastic.

This was a HUGE hit with my 3-year old grandson this Christmas! He hasn't put it down much since he received it. The parts are sturdy and I'm sure will outlast his interest. Very good value for the price, and the perfect gift for a preschooler. I'm very happy with this purchase.

My 3 year old was very excited to get this toy for Christmas. He uses its various pieces to take care of all of his stuffed animals. Because he loves everything to do with fire trucks and firefighters, the fact it came with a dalmation was a bonus!

My daughter really likes this but I expected something more substantial, I guess so I was disappointed. Didnt feel like it was worth the $$$.

The set is really cute in that it all comes delivered in the kennel. But that stuffed dog is a joke! It is only about 5 inches long and 3 inches high. It looks like something out of a vending machine. That being said, I just tossed the dog and found a different one to put in it. The rest of the set and the kennel are made of good, heavy plastic. My nephew adores in. It comes with a lot of things for him to play with and he uses them on all of his stuffed animals, as well as my real dog!

I tried twice to order the 18 piece set shown in the picture. Both times I received a set that was only 15 pieces - missing items are the cans of dog food/vitamins and the dog bone. I am very frustrated that it is now less than 3 weeks until Christmas and I have no present for my son because I was sent the wrong product twice. I don't know if there product in the picture actually exists and I was just mailed the wrong one, or if everyone who places an order will get the 15 piece set. Very disappointing.

My daughter loves animals and pretending to be a doctor with her little doctor kit she has. So when I found this Dalmatian Vet Kit on Amazon, I was sure she'd love it. Low and behold, what was the one thing she wanted to bring with her everywhere while we made trips on Christmas? Bingo. This thing was an instant hit with her, and I'm honestly surprised at how much she plays with this thing. It's a bit on the flimsy side, concerning some of the tools, but for the price, it's tough to find a better vet kit out there for kids.

The kit comes with everything you see in the stock picture. Dog carrying case, dalmatian (named Freckles, according to the dog food can), two cans of food, a bone, bowl, and many tools to examine everything on the dog. Some of the bigger tools don't really 'work' though, like how some doctor kits have stethoscopes that really let you hear one's heart beat. Though the blood pressure checker does change the number on the reader with each pump, and the thermometer can be set to a few different temperatures. I'm only taking the overall rating down a star because some of the tools, like the syringe, aren't held together very well, and can come apart. They don't break or anything, but it's worth mentioning. The education value is good since it helps kids recognize the different tools and what they're used for. It's a great kit for kids who love to pretend they're doctors, and an even better value since it comes with a patient.

Yeah, the dalmatian might not be the cutest, but this is a great value and for the hours of fun my daughter's had with it in just one day, I was happy seeing her enjoy it so much. I also appreciate that everything fits into the carrying case without being needing to be crammed in. My little doctor thanks Battat for making this set, and so do I!

I too received a 15 piece set instead of the 18 piece set. I didn't notice it until I went to wrap it today for Xmas and looked at the picture. I specifically paid more for this set because it had the bone, dish and vitamins. These same types of sets can be bought in the store for at least $6 cheaper(15piece). I would give them a chance to just send me the missing parts but that's not an option, I have to return the whole thing and from other reviews it's doubtful I'd get the right set anyway. If I had more time I'd send it back I feel scammed seeing this has happened to others.
