5.0 out of 5 stars Finally a kids cookbook that I can use
I've been going to the library and getting all kinds of children's cookbooks to test before I buy, because I have four little "helpers" that always want to be in the kitchen. This is the first book I've come accross with great pictures AND great, unique, yet kid-friendly recipes. For example, there are mini bagel balls, which were great and very hands-on for the kids...

I am waiting on a call from the founder to see if she can fix this problem for me, but I wanted to write this review to let others know about a problem in the book. I've been going to the library and getting all kinds of children's cookbooks to test before I buy, because I have four little "helpers" that always want to be in the kitchen. This is the first book I've come accross with great pictures AND great, unique, yet kid-friendly recipes. For example, there are mini bagel balls, which were great and very hands-on for the kids (although the recipe calls for putting the balls in very hot tap water, I did put them in boiling water)--very tasty. Today we made the granola bars, and they're some of the best homemade granola bars I've ever had. There's also a Thai noodle recipe that we'll make next, and many others. I highly recommend this book.

I am waiting on a call from the founder to see if she can fix this problem for me, but I wanted to write this review to let others know about a problem in the book. The recipes in this book are cute and certainly appeal to my child; however, about 1/3 of the recipes call for watching a "cooking school secret" video in order to learn how to replicate the photos in the book. The link in the cookbook is not valid, so we can't watch these helpful cooking secrets. To be fair, most adults can prepare the recipes without the video tutorial, but my daughter wanted to cook something for Thanksgiving all by herself. She would have benefitted from the video and was deeply disappointed that she couldn't watch it. I don't understand why they needed to post a website to show these videos instead of just putting the info in the cookbook.
