This review is from: Battered but Not Broken: Help for Abused Wives and Their Church Families (Paperback)
This book helps to describe the dilemma Christian women face when they are struggling with an abusive husband and how the church can help and not harm. Many well meaning people put the sanctity of the marriage above the safety and well-being of the wife and children in these situations and mainly because of ignorance of the subject or belief in myths of spouse abuse. Abuse does occur unfortunately in every culture and economic background and if we want true healing we need to confront this hideous sin.
