This review is from: Battery 1050mAh (Original Nokia BP-6MT) for Nokia 6720 classic, E51, N81, N81 8GB, N82 (Wireless Phone Accessory)
This battery arrived later than the original promise date. The invoice stated the battery's condition as "new" and of course I received a USED battery with clearly visible dents, scratches, and grooves with faded spots due to OBVIOUS rubbing within the previous cellphone's battery compartment. ***TOTAL SCAM***"

Hah! Try to find a new, genuine Nokia replacement battery these days. I tried the obvious traditional retailers, like ATT (where the phone was purchased), Radio Shack and Best Buy. Nada. Then I bought what was described as a "new" and genuine Nokia battery through Amazon's storefront company Orion Gadgets (they had great reviews and, as it turned out, responded promptly in giving a refund--read on). What Orion sent me was obviously not genuine, though I cannot say they knew they were selling imitation products. I used the "Nokia" batteries I bought from Orion (I bought two for two phones)for three weeks. First, they didn't hold a charge longer than 2-3 days, which is the same performance I get from 18 month old real Nokia batteries. Second, the hologram appeared significantly inferior to the genuine, original Nokia one. Third, the "new" battery fit slightly more snugly into the phone, which suggested it was ever so slightly larger. Fourth, the dash pattern on the right side of the label, extending to the back, was different from the original and the cubic QR code on the back was quite smudged, versus the one on the original. Finally, when the batteries lost a charge, they died abruptly (like rechargable alkalines) vs. fading gradually. I told this to Orion and they immediately provided a post paid return envelope and refunded my purchase (after a follow-up reminder email from me 12 days later). So, Orion was responsible and reliable in handling my complaint. There's more! Then I contacted Nokia and asked where I could buy a genuine Nokia battery with confidence that it is real. They said they could only guarantee this if I bought through the Nokia online store, but that it ceased operations in June! Bottom line, IF you can ever get a genuine Nokia battery, the real thing seems fine. I'd recommend it. But do you really want to go through this to get one? Better idea: switch cell phone brands! Until I do, I'm using my old Nokia battery until it recharges no more.

I purchased what was said to be a "brand new" Nokia cell phone battery. The first was shipped and it was dead. I called customer service from the vendor I had purchased from and they emailed me a return shipping label for the dead battery (which I had asked "Don't you check these batteries before you ship?" and I was told no, but they are new batteries! The second battery is shipped and this battery won't even fit into the cell phone. Same make and model as the first battery. Needles to say I was over this experience and threw out the cell phone battery. When you have to work this hard for a product you ordered it just becomes a nightmare. It was not worth the return call to them to tell them that their "NEW" battery won't fit. It was easier to throw it out in the garbage and call it a day. I ended up buying a new cell phone from a cell phone company with a "real" new battery in it.
