The fit isn't as good as Dell batteries, physically, and ACPI reports the battery as having 6600 mAh capacity rather than the claimed 7800 mAh capacity on the description here on Amazon. I've not opened the battery to check who's right.

After the battery arrived I did a full discharge (leave laptop at BIOS battery monitor screen till it turns off by itself) followed by a full charge with the laptop off. After the full charge ACPI reports full capacity of 6523 mAh.

This isn't any better than the other low cost 3rd party 9-cell batteries from other vendors. The description doesn't match the physical product.

EDIT 23 Nov 2013: After a few charges, the battery is now reporting only about 4700 mAh of capacity when full. I get a little over 2 hours of use before I have to plug in. I would not buy this battery again or recommend to anyone.

Received battery on time, followed conditioning instructions, worked for a few days then STOPPED. Battery no longer works. The battery will not charge, if power supply unplugged laptop shuts down. Sending back! Better receive FULL refund!

When I purchased this I was optimistic about its reliability. It is as good as the original, but it is made in China which I did not know before purchase. I am not a fan of China products!! This was for a Dell D630 laptop.

This was purchases as a backup high-capacity for a Dell Latitude D610. After fully discharging and re-charging it twice, it gives me about 4 hours with wifi enabled, and almost six with wifi turned off. Some tweaking of the settings is necessary to obtain best results, but that is true of nearly anything. The important thing is to correctly condition the battery by doing a full discharge before initial recharge, and I have found that best results are often obtained by doing a second full cycle run before committing to daily use. Fits as good as original.

I wonder if it is a Dell thing - because I bought from the same ATC in this IBM ThinkPad T43 and I am working on over 2 years and still get over 3 1/2 hours per charge - right now it says 76% or 2 hr 21 min left.

The only reason I inject any review at all is because even people who buy genuine Dell batteries are getting crap results. And most that buy these types of batteries are getting twice the time of usage.

I suppose it makes a difference in each individual battery used within a pack - it only takes one or two lower voltage battery within the pack to make a 6 or 9 cell go bad fast - like the saying one rotten apple ruins the bushel.

i have a voltage tester I bought here on Amazon, I bought it primarily to test batteries. And I had noticed that if I have two recycle batteries, one registers 1.15 v and the other 1.220 in the controller for xBox, it doesn't take long to kill the Double Battery pack.
Where as if I make sure that both batteries register 1.2 v the pak will last much much longer.
So I am thinking the same holds true here also

I don't know the reason, but Rechargeable batteries new will only register 1.2 v where as a Ray-O-Vac Alkaline will register 1.5 v
And even then with those, if one is a bit lower it will kill the pak much quicker

I received the battery and followed the charging instructions. As soon as I unplug my charger the battery dies and I have only had it a week
