Its about as good as the original Apple PowerBook G4 battery which doesn't say much that is good. I personally get about 3 hours from a charge which is about what the original got. Not the 4 or more claimed by apple. The battery works as described by the manufacturer, but does not exceed the original battery performance by anything noticeable. Hopefully it will last longer than the original.

This product has been recalled by Apple. It works fine, but does overheat, and can cause fires and explosions. Contact Apple's support and they'll ship you a new battery for free. You must have the serial number ready, though. I have this battery, and it only lasts about an hour. At first I thought it had to do with pulling so much power, but my iBook is about the same. Being me, I checked the site, and there has been a recall since 2006.

Ordered a replacement battery for a G4 Mac Powerbook. Completely useless. Contacts are misaligned and cause battery to not function at all. Battery appears to have been mismanufactured. No sign of external damage. Quite disappointed.
