I got the standard battery with my inspiron 1501 and the battery would only last a maximum of 45 minutes with a full charge. The comparable battery as this one from Dell was $189.00 plus $15 shipping and 2-3 weeks delivery. I found this one and got it in 4 days at standard shipping. It last 2.5-3 hours with heavy use. GREAT DEAL!

It works. But as Dung Anh Huynh recently pointed out, it comes as a 4800mAh instead of 6600mAh as in the description! The seller was not honest.

I was a little concerned about buying this battery, but I must say it works great. I get about 3.5 hours of work out of this battery, perfect fit for the 1501 Inspiron. Dell charges twice as much for the same battery. I am about to order another one for my sons 1501, paid $600 for the laptop and dell replacement battery cost $ 199 do you think dell knew their battery would fail within a year. overall this battery works great,Great Price for a Great Battery.

This battery came and it works.
The only question I have is:
This battery is described as 6600mAH but the one I received is 4800mAH!
The one I received is a lower rating than as advertised.
It seems this seller is not quite honest to customer.

I purchase this to use with a Dell Inspiron 1501. it fits and it works. I thought that I would have gotten more battery time from it but I was mistaken. I get about 4.5 hours. It price was reasonable.

I was leery about using a non-Dell battery in my Inspiron 1501 but was really turned off by Dell's prices. This battery works perfectly with my computer. I cannot comment as to battery life as I rarely use it over half an hour unplugged but my meter still shows about 90% capacity left over that time. A comparable original Dell battery would have cost at least twice what this one did and I am very glad I bought it.

Fits snugly. No issues with charging and charge lasts around 3-4 hours with moderate to high use. Quick delivery (regular mail option used). Not sure of the battery life(years & number of charges) in longer run though. Overall seems a good deal as original part is close to twice the price of this one.

The shipping was on time, iirc, but unfortunately the battery itself worked only intermittently at first, charging, but not showing up in the battery power meter as charging, that kinda thing, not charging until I plugged and unplugged the adapter a few times, and then stopped working altogether. The computer would shut off immediately upon unplugging it.

In as much as the return policy of the seller requires me to pay for the shipping of the 'supposedly defective item' in order to get a replacement, I opted for a refund thru Amazon, which entails a few clicks, printing a label, and taping it to the original box that I thankfully saved.

Other batteries from this seller may work fine, but this experience and the return policy putting the burden on the customer to pay for shipping makes me wary of doing business with them, personally.

This worked perfect and the seller got this out ASAP!! Battery life was like 4 or 5 hours!!

Bought this product mid 2009 and worked great at the beginning but the battery life quickly swan dived into nothing within the next 6 months. It's worthless today and is only good for transporting the laptop from one power outlet to the next.
