The problem with not charging at all seems to be an issue with original power adapter(the thing you plug into the wall) output is rated for 19.5Vdc at 3.34A but the battery I bought was higher capacity ,7200mAH, as compared to original 53WH (equals 4800mAH at 11.1V) so the adapter could not charge a completely drained battery AND turn on the computer, not enough juice. I think the pc goes into protect mode and wigs out. I just tried another 19.5Vdc adapter but rated at 4.62A and pc came on, fully charged the battery and working perfect so far. I'll repost if battery longevity is deficient. So if you replace original battery with higher capacity battery, you may need to also use a higher current rated adapter; voltage MUST be the same(can NOT use higher or lower rated voltage adapter)

Battery lasted 2 months before problem started. Would only accept 70% charge one month more only 59%. I am returning for replacement and find out that that I have to pay return shipping for a defective product. Not happy at all. We shall see if the replacement performs any better.

Item worked well for 2 - 3 months. After that, the battery very quickly lost its ability to hold a charge. I would typically use the computer on battery power only about an hour a day. By the 4th or 5th month, the battery was no longer usable. Even though it was about half the price of a battery from Dell, I would not recommend it.

Battery was great for about 11 months - good for 5 hours of web surfing on my Dell e1505. But, after 11 months of daily use, most it that while plugged into wall power, battery capacity started dropping. At about 12 months it was down to 3 hours, and at 13 months it is down to an hour and the battery monitor sw is telling me my battery needs replacement. As warranty was 12 months, I'm outta luck.

So, ok battery for $35 maybe - I could afford to swap them one a year or so, but I payed a lot more for this.

Original extended battery that came with my 1501 lasted longer per charge. Not a complaint as the battery from the manufacturer of the laptop costs twice as much.

Not even a year later and the battery is needing to be replaced. The stock Dell battery at least held a longer charge and lasted almost 2 years.

I followed the pre charge before use instructions exactly. The battery never lasted more than 1.5 hours for the first month. After about a month, the battery just completely dies after about 10 minutes of use.

The battery is great. It lasts far longer than my Dell battery ever did and at 1/3 the price. Great buy for the money.

I bought this battery for my Dell E1505. It worked fine for about one month, then it started to lose capacity. After 6 months it hold about 15 minutes of charge.

I bought an AGPtek Hi-Capacity Li-ion Battery for my daughter's Dell 1501 in August 2009. It was completely dead at 11 months 20+ days. Company claimed to start the warranty ON THE DAY THE ORDER WAS PLACED and wouldn't honor their "full 1 year warranty". I'll stay away from them for 2 reasons: 1)product didn't last; and 2) company (which appears under many names) is cheap and doesn't care about customer. Luckily I had kept the original Dell battery, it still works a little.

So far product appears to be what was advertised, hope to be able to state same after 2-3 years of use.
