I bought a couple of these to use as lighting around my tent at an outdoor festival. They work great, are much brighter than I expected, and lasted for hours and hours on one set of batteries. I even wrapped a strand around my waist as part of a costume and everyone loved them... wanted to know where i got them. Neat toy.

Have had battery powered Christmas lights before, for decorating bikes and costumes... But the lights would only last a few hours/maybe 2 days of a few hours per day before the batteries ran out. Have had these two strands since SEPTEMBER, have used them for costumes (they were on for 6 hours), decorating tip jars (on all night), and most recently for 2 birthday parties (they were on for 3 days each time, since I forgot to turn them off) and they are STILL on their first set of batteries. And, they look cool, don't get hot, and light pretty brightly. So happy I bought these.
