Piece of Junk. I purchase as a buy one get one free piece of garbage. They don't hold a charge or have the stated capacity. Don't buy anything except a genuine Canon battery. These batteries are supposed to be rated higher in capacity, meaning more shots per charge...what B.S. I only get about 1/4 of the performance of my 4 year old original canon battery. If they had 0 stars, I would rate it that.

Original purchase date was Aug 2004, quantity 3 purchased. Batteries did not hold a charge. BTI replaced all three (fortunately I saved the package, with warranty). The replaced batteries, sent June 2005, weren't much better, they won't hold a charge for more than 12 pictures. This time BTI sent a UPS call tag to pick up the troublesome product, and there was a suggestion that I might be allowed to exchage them for a different BTI product. In the mean time I purchased a genuine Canon battery replacement. I'm giving three stars because of the excellent customer service, not the product. You may want to consider purchasing one of these as a back-up battery. Be prepared to fax/email a copy of your invoice to get an RMA and pay for return shipping. BTI covers shipping back to you. Your experience could be different based on i) the type of charger you are using (I used the original CB-2L charger supplied with my S-100), ii) the current production may be better than the older ones.

No problems with this battery after a year of use, and it is way less expensive than the Canon NB-1LH OEM battery.

This generic battery is described as "from Canon" in the Amazon description. It is not an original canon battery. Shame on Amazon. I'd rather get no information than false info. What is this Circuit City?
