I was blessed to have had the opportunity to read and experience this book. It is broken down into small chapters that allow you to quickly utilize the precepts learned over a short period of time. Mrs. Meyers brings to life many characters from the Bible, that are sometimes overlooked, to put a fresh perspective on the trials that they faced and how they relate to our lives in a modern world. An excellent book on which to base a weekly group bible study.

My attention was gripped from the very first sentence and held "captive" throughout the entire book. It was well written and spoke to issues we all deal with in our desire to grow and mature in our relationship with God. This is the first book of Joyce Meyer's that I've read and I have been greatly blessed by it. I highly recommend this book for anyone who struggles with fear and defeat in their lives.

This book is a great resource in your walk with the Lord. Too many times we try to take care of the battles ourselves and when we do we will always lose. The only way to win the battle is to let the Lord fight it for you and have complete trust in him. This book helps you give your battles to the Lord by reminding you that the battle is not yours to fight anyway and that God will ultimately win the battle. This is a great book to read if you are having problems giving your battles to the Lord.

The book is well written and very powerful. The book will cause you to reflect on each chapter as you go. You will likely find the book produces much meditation. It is very good.

This book came into my life at a time when I had struggles that were suffocating me. My head was in a fog. I felt like a snail without it's shell - exposed on a hot day. Though I had a close relationship with God my focus wasn't on Him as it should've been but on the issues I was having to deal with. The wisest thing I did was pick up this book and, along with my Bible, studied God's message. The Battle Belongs to the Lord is straightforward and helps you to enter God's presence in a strong and powerful way by teaching you to praise and worship Him at ALL times; especially during the tough times.

This has to be one of my favorite books by Joyce Meyer. It gives you practical strategies to overcome life's every day struggles by handing them over to the Lord. This book has so many realistic tools that can be used to live a life of victory through the Lord. I have to admit that when I read the Bible I sometimes have difficulty getting the true message or meaning that is being conveyed. Joyce has a remarkable ability to translate verses for people just like me, as well as give practical methods of putting these passages to use in every day life.
READ THIS BOOK AND START YOUR LIFE OF VICTORY.

I've read several of Joyce's books and love her messages. This one however is one that I felt personally led to at the right time. I've been on an in depth spiritual journey for about four years now and last year made a commitment to start reading my Bible from beginning to end and started last June 2010 and finished February 2011. I've read chapters here and there but never really made a real commitment to read it all the way through from start to finish. While it was very challenging to do it turned out to be a true blessing for growth.

Reading Joyce's books are like having personal 'help' tools in our tool box to guide us through God's word. If not for her works and others like her, I may never had made that commitment to read my Bible from cover to cover. Her books and help tapes encourage me to understand the word better because I'm not a scholar, student, or a philosopher type. It's challenging for me to study. Joyce makes it easier and more understable. Her books actually lead us back to the word.

This particular book was a real eye opener to the fact that WE are not the one's in control of our lives. This is something I've had to learn the hard way because of my stubborn and control driven nature. It's when we die to self and let go and let God that things really begin to happen in our lives for the better.

I don't want to wander in the desert for 40 years any longer on an eleven day journey! Do you? If not, read this book and think seriously about making a commitment to read the Bible from cover to cover. Both will aid the Holy Spirit in changing your life for the better!

this is my first joyce meyer book and i really can't say enough good things about it. first of all, she is a very compelling writer. i am amazed at how the insights and revelations she shares are so very applicable to my situation right now as a born-again Believer. highly recommended reading to all Believers

i loved this book. i need to re read it until i have it memorized...it brought me peace and joy. we sometimes forget we do not have to take on these stupid issues that come up in our lives that cause us pain, they are his battles, he will take care of them...

This is truly an eye opening and life changing book. I SO HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!
