I agree with Gaythas' review ! Scurvy Bastards were an awesome live experience, some of which was captured on the 'Battle Born' LP. All of their 2003 shows were bedlam!! There is a new 'PIRANTHOLOGY' cd thru their website: www.scurvybastards.com

The Scurvy Bastards: Battle Born is the one album that any person who can identify with the life of a pirate should own. Ironically, these talented salty land-dwelling musicians hail from Reno, Nevada. A banjo, an accordian, and keyboard also bless this punk-charged crew- fronted by a bloodied and surley captain. If you were ever lucky enough to see this band play live- then you have truely lived. They are now broken up. Snatch up these copies while you still can ARRRRRR!

That's it, really - this is a great "pirate music" album. It's a load of fun, and I recommend it to anyone looking for something to play in the background of their rum-soaked pirate-themed party, for a PotC viewing, a Talk-Like-A-Pirate-Day playlist, or just for fun. It's great. One of the best 'pirate' albums I've come across.
