This volume from the "Incidents in the American Civil War" series contains the arranged and edited battle reports of three Confederate and four Union commanding officers at the Battle of Corinth, Mississippi, in 1862. Featured are reports by Earl Van Dorn, Major General, CSA, and William S. Rosecrans, Major General, USA. Other reports are by Generals Lovell (CSA), Price (CSA), Ord (USA), and Hurlbut (USA); and by Captain George A. Williams (USA), commander of the siege artillery at Corinth, including Battery Robinett. Finely reproduced illustrations include five period maps (with a central map of the battlefield), seven portraits, and eight etchings of battlefield scenes. A final report of casualties is also included. Editorial notes and preface by John F. Wakefield.
