best new band I've heard in a long time, February 14, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Battle Cry For Help (Audio CD)
This band reminds me of the classic Minneapolis bands of the late 80's - Replacments, Husker Du, Soul Asylum. But they have their own sound too - they throw in Texas elements like pedal steel guitar. Highly recommended.

Rock is Dead?, August 13, 2004
This review is from: Battle Cry For Help (Audio CD)
This is the most honest rock record I've heard in years. It makes rock n' roll..... fun!! Dangerous!! unpredictable!Things it should be!!! I am still waiting to see them live, which I'm told is like seeing The Replacements on a "ON" night. My advice, grab a 6 pack, a pack of smokes, a CD player, Battle Cry for Help, & let the good times roll!

best live rock show ive see in while, October 6, 2003
By A Customer

I saw these guys play in NYC and was immediately impressed by the energy and originality of their live show. No antics just good beer drinking foot tapping rock. Their music is that od middle america indie rock with some hank willimas meets the replacements and mid era soul asylum. buy it.
