Very moving images presented in an elegant book,

I think this book is a very informative and attractive introduction to combat photography. It features many Pulitzer Prize winning photos as well as some of the most famous photos from America's wars. I also found the detailed photographer profiles and their quotes about what it's like to be there in the field very fascinating.

This book is filled with photos that define the history of military photography specifically, and photography generally. The photos and the photographers are icons of the genre.

Good book of great photos,

I ran across this book on super discount and picked it up for my son, a bit of a history and photography fan, it turned out to a great find, lot's of really moving and impressive images and interesting info on the photographers too.
