5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible and strong song - full of life!, July 22, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Battle Flag Pt.1 (Audio CD)
This song is a new and wonderful mix of retro and dance/rock. Powerful beat and incredible melody. You can listen to it again and again - I now listen to the radio just in hopes of hearing this cut.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best song this decade- honestly!, February 14, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Battle Flag Pt.1 (Audio CD)
'Battleflag' is a track which will make your draw drop. Take a little bit of rock, a strong helping of dance and the lyrical cherry of hip-hop and you have a very tasty dish indeed. Pigeonhed provides the bullets for the Lo-Fi's well-honed shotgun of scuffed-up breakbeats, samples and slurred, nonsensical lyrics. Absolutely amazing and the best song this decade- honestly! The B-side 'Pony Pressure' is also fantastic and is the Lo-Fi's first new track since their outstanding debut album 'How To Operate With A Blown Mind'.

4.0 out of 5 stars Five years later, still absolutely haunting..., September 10, 2005
This review is from: Battle Flag Pt.1 (Audio CD)
The first time I heard battleflag was on the 'be still my heart' episode of ER. I remember watching the credits at the end but didn't catch the name of the band who did the song. It's been kind've an 'on again, off again' search. Every once in a while I'd hear it on TV or on the radio but couldn't catch the name of the band or the song. Two months ago, I started listening to shoutcast radio. Last week, I heard it for the first time in it's entirety and found out who did it!

Funny, here we are FIVE years later and people are STILL talking about that episode and how this song was absolutely perfectly cast for the part. It's haunting melody tied in with the disturbingly frantic image of 'Lucy' mouthing "Help me..." to a stunned, shocked and helpless 'Dr. Carter'. That has to be one of the all-time suspensful season ending cliff hangers!

5.0 out of 5 stars ER PICKED THE PERFECT SONG FOR GREAT EPISODE!, May 6, 2005

BRADSON "NATER" (KIRKLAND, IL USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Battle Flag Pt.1 (Audio CD)
The 'Be Still My Heart' episode of ER has the most shocking ending for any episode of any series on tv. Every time I hear this song it makes me think of the stabbing in the last couple of minutes of the epsdiode. This is a great song with a catchy beat. It is really different than anything I have ever heard.
This is a must for ER fans and just plain fans of great music.

5.0 out of 5 stars C'mon baby tell me, yes we aim to please..., May 11, 2003
This review is from: Battle Flag Pt.1 (Audio CD)
I'm not usually a big fan of this genre of music, but I make an exception for "Battleflag". I've been a fan ever since I heard it on the Valentine's Day episode of "ER."
"Battleflag" rocks.

5.0 out of 5 stars The song "Battle Flag" is amazing., July 12, 1999
This review is from: Battle Flag Pt.1 (Audio CD)
This is one of the best songs I've heard in quite awhile. There are so many layers to this song, it never gets old or boring. This CD is constantly spinning in my changer and as a DJ, it is a must-have.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Classic Great, March 15, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Battle Flag Pt.1 (Audio CD)
As an older "rocker" I must be added to the list of people who obviously feel this song. It appeals to all age groups who feel anger and feel the beat, but also identify with the song in their own personal way. It is very emotional. It is one of those songs you play in your vehicle on blast off. If anyone uses music as an outlet of any kind, put this on your list!

4.0 out of 5 stars battle flag by lo-fidelity allstars, August 19, 2005
This review is from: Battle Flag Pt.1 (Audio CD)
i also heard that song on that ER episode.but what really caught my attention was hearing on the movie soundtrack "Forces of Nature" and loved it.i just had to find it somehow. The songs listed on the music credits didn't help 'cause i had no idea what i was looking for. Until i came here to amazon and looked up the soundtrack and sampled bites off the CD and viola! there it was. Great song. THANKS AMAZON!
