Best Game Ever!,
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars

Even when outdated, it's one of the best. Especially back then? I remember around perhaps 2003-2005, we saw this game at family dollar or genovees or something like that. Some store which had a sale. Buy 1 get 1 free i believe and the games were like maybe $10 each? I could be lieing cause i don't remember much. It could have been a dream? Point is, the game is extremely addicting.
An amazing childhood game and i'd still play it. I wish it was on the PSN. I'd start playing my PSP again if it was on there. If you're the only one who aren't allowed to have friends over, have friends who won't play games that have (somewhat) outdated graphics, or don't have siblings who'd play, don't bother with it. Single player isn't that fun and there were some unlockable characters and stuff but multiplayer is the only fun thing! Multiplayer was amazing! Flawless. Requires only 1 controller. I honestly love the game. I don't see why there wasn't a sequel or remake. Probably the only game i'll love from agetec. I still sometimes feel sorrow (though i still have the PS1 Disc) when i look at just the playstation games cover and listen to Battle Hunters Title Theme music. It brings back great memories... I really feel like crying now :/ in a good way. Nonetheless, if you have a PS1 and you're looking for the game, go for it and buy it. An alternate version is downloading a PS1 Emulator and the ROM and playing it on your PC for free which isn't as fun (especially with having friends crowd around your screen and sharing your keyboard)... I logged on this account and bothered to write a review because of this game.

All the people that gave it one star, first realise that the "Role-Playing Game" on the top is a misnomer. An RPG demands that you play a role (duh), which demands that a storyline exists. This game does not have a bad storyline-it completely lacks one. Anyways, while this game can become dull when playing solo, with a multitap and three friends, it becomes hilarious. Battle Hunter, at the very least, is unique.

Battle Hunter is a Role Playing Game with turn based action. The game is in the near future when more than half of the world has been destroyed. Scientists can bring back the destroyed areas if they can get their hands on certain items. You take on a hunter that searches for the needed items in dangerous doungeons. Thiis sounds so simple, but it isn't. There are also other hunters, some with you, some against you. But in the end, the only thing that you can rely on is that you can't rely on anyone. This is a fun game. It doesn't take to long to beat, but still keeps you interested. Cheap price! Have fun!

First, let me say I'm something of a fan of A1 games, the people who put this game out. Back in the day, they put out a line of bargain-basement games for the PS 1. They had some Interesting shooters, so I thought I'd try their one RPG. I tend to like RPGs, but this sure isn't any Final Fantasy or Fallout. I found it boreing and a bit silly. If you can get it cheap, give it a try, otherwise pass it by.

I recently played this game and I'm pretty disappointed with it. Battle Hunter is a simple, easy to master game. However, it lacks a good story line. In a nutshell, you play a "hunter" who gets paid to search for items (or persons) in the dungeons. As you level up, you are given a prime mission each time. When you don't, you are just given ordinary mission to search for ordinary items. You are paid each time you retrieve it.There are a number of crates containing items in the dungeons but each time you enter the dungeons, there will always be 3 other hunters there too. The item you need to search for is placed randomly in any crates and the dungeon maps are randomly selected too. You can only exit the dungeon if you've obtained the item you were told to search for, if the other hunters found it and exits or if the dungeon boss knocks out the hunter (or you) with the item. After a few games, dungeon battles becomes boring as it is very repetitive. Your rate of a successful attack depends on random cards play (dice roll) and special cards you can collect and use. Unlike normal RPG games where one gains better attack and special moves, Battle Hunter gives you only one standard way of attack. To make things worse, there's no option to turn off battles by other hunters. So you force to watch all the other battles takes place that are of no concern to you. This is a major waste of time in my opinion. While you can get go to the hospital to heal your HPs or pay to level up. The only thing you find yourself doing mostly is going into the dungeons to search for items. The game tries to make it more interesting by having various items for you to identify. Most of which you can sell for money, others like weapons and armor you can use yourself. Some of these items are floppy disks containing BGs (Background or wallpaper). Once you have identified them, you can select it as the background for the game. I would only recommend this game for kids or for those who want to try new genre of games. For the avid RPG gamers, you can give this a pass.

it's a good game.the only two bad features are that when you're playing with other people you have to pass the controller around and you can only move a certain amount of blocks each turn.other than that Battle Hunter is a Great game.

I bought this game a little after i got my ps1,and not only does this game frustrate you and make you want to turn it off,but nothing really is happening,no actual storyline.I couldnt even stand going through 2 stages, which might i add are seemingly pointless since most of the time the item you want is right next 2 you when you start out,and all you have to do is touch the exit....its obviously the worst rpg of all time!along side with time stalkers(dc).never ever buy this game, the only one decent thing is some of the characters look kind of(i said kind of)kewl looking, but not really that great.this is the hugest disgrace to rpg's!might i add its not really an rpg,a1 just labeled it that, cuz they are the worst video game producing company.they spend about 3 days on each game.stay away from all a1 titles!
