Capcom has liberated this series from certain doom.,

= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Colonel (Video Game)
I have been a fan of this series since the first game came out. I think I have bought all the games the day the came out, without reading any reviews. I loved the second and third games. I was very dissapointed by 4 and I feared for the continuation of the series. But Capcom has saved the series in the fifth game.
The fifth game is a lot different than the other four. This is becuase of a new play mode called "Liberation Missions". These liberation missions require you to implement some strategy(They are somewhat similar to the play in the advance wars games). The liberation missions require you to free areas of the net from Nebula control. This is where the team aspect of the title comes into play. In the liberation missions you get to use all the members of your team. This means that you are netbattleing with navis other than megaman! It is really cool. Don't worry though, there are still regular netbattles and scenarios to play. The netbattles are still a lot of fun. Capcom brought back some of the old enemies that weren't in the last game. And the new enemies are really interesting. The netbattles still take place on two three by three blocks. The double soul aspect of the forth game has returned(this is when you unite with another navis soul and get some powers for a few turns). The graphics are the same as they've always been, but "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Sound: the sound is a little better than the last game, but sound doesn't really matter to me, so it doesn't really effect my review. Translation: The 4th game had terrible flaws in the translation. Capcom has decided to actually read the text again and this game has a lot less errors. So I reccomend this game to anyone who likes a good strategy game, and anyone who enjoys a good netbattle.

Time to pick Teams,
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Colonel (Video Game)
This game is so cool. Team Colonel and Team Protoman are simillar games with diffrent story lines. Team Colonel features six net navis (net navigators)only playable on this cartridge. The Soul Unison (Double Soul) system comes back with Colonel Soul, Number Soul, Knight Soul, Tomohawk Soul, and Shadow Soul. You can also use Dark Chips in the Soul Unison System to use Chaos Unisons. Chaos Unisons are powerful, but you can overload Megaman and the dark energy will form MegamanDS. (Megaman Dark Soul)This game also includes one free Megaman PET Battle Chip.

Great Game,
A Kid's Review
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Colonel (Video Game)
This new megaman game is a great game. Here's a list of new things:
new battlechips new soul unisons and you can play as other characters in liberation missions, which is kind of like a board game. The gameplay of megaman is similar to the previous ones, so if your looking for a megaman game with new gameplay, then this isnt the game for you. I bought Team Colonel and my brother bought Team Protoman. There really isnt a difference in battlechips in these games, but once you get past the second liberation mission theres a whole new variety of battlechips. The soul unisons are different to. Trust me, this game is fun, but you have to work hard to win.
