4.0 out of 5 stars Dark Breakz, May 21, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Battle for Planet of the Breaks: A Big Beat & Nu Skool Breaks DJ Mix (Audio CD)
If you like the hard and driving style breaks, and the dark feel, this is it.

Top quality tracks, good dj selection, good mixes

A soundscape through breakz

5.0 out of 5 stars I don't even like breaks that much...., October 11, 2004

This review is from: Battle for Planet of the Breaks: A Big Beat & Nu Skool Breaks DJ Mix (Audio CD)
I'm not a big fan of breaks. Icey, Baby Anne, and s**t like that all sounds wimpy and weak, but Omar is something different. I guess b/c of his love for the hardcore (check out his gabber mixes) even his breaks come off sounding hard and sinister...something that's hard to pull off at 135 bpm. As far as breaks go, this is as relentless and heavy as it gets. There are a few lighter moments, but those are just breathers until the bangers kick in. Daddy like.

It has all the good tracks of its time but lacks the sound quality that would make this album sound a lot better! Over all its ok but I would recomend save your money on this one.
