In the last volume, Pope Oswald, God's champion, knew three main characters in the biblical sense. Now two of those are coming back to haunt Battle Pope. Two spurned suitors who feel Pope overstepped his bounds are now gunning for him. No sooner does Pope square off against a giant battle robot than he is whisked away to an even deadlier foe. How will Pope survive? What are Jesus, Santa and the rest up to during all of this? You will just have to read it to find out.

I won't spoil things by saying who Pope squares off against or how he survives as that leaves too little of the book left. I will say that things are still moving along and we get some interesting insights into Pope's past that really help color the whole saga. The art is on a par with the previous books and the action moves quickly while still letting the plot and characters develop. If the first three volumes have not completely driven you away then your are sure to get a kick out of this one. Check it out.
