4.0 out of 5 stars A Satisfying Installment To The Series, January 22, 2007
This review is from: Battle Royale, Vol. 12 (Paperback)
This volume features the end of the fight between Boy #6, Kazuo Kiriyama, and Boy #11, Hiroki Sugimura.

As usual, the art is superb. Though there have been numerous complaints about Keith Giffen's adaption, I thought this volume had fine dialogue.
The one complaint I have is the fight becomes too unrealistic. Soon Kazuo and Hiroki are channeling chi and sending each other flying with a simple pat to the back. On a good note, there is very beautiful dialogue between Kayoko and Hiroki, as they hint at their affection for each other.

The rest of the volume deals with Shuya, Noriko, and Shogo breaking down Mitsuko and Kazuo's personalities and differnences of character.

All in all, this is mostly an excellent addition to, in my opinion, one of the best manga ever. It may not be the best of the series, but I would definately pick this up.
