I am a pastor and I need to read many books on marriage. Mallory's book is very biblicial but not preachy. It hits the issue right at the nail. It points out husband and wife often ends up fighting because we enter the marriage with self-centerness. We want to be served but not to serve. If we use Christ's paradiagm in our marriage, there are a whole new world in our marriage life. The book also speak of other important areas such as gender difference. The good thing about this book is that it is easy to apply and concept is easy to comprehend especially for Christians. It is not one of those books who talked about your terrible childhood, etc...I ranked this book among the best book about marriage: Divorce Busters, Boundary for Marriage, His needs Her needs, and Making love last forever, Five languages of Love. |
