Good overview. Great for tours.,

I have the series relating to all the D Day beaches where allied forces landed on 6th June 1944. I initially got Omaha and Utah as i was in the US at the time (therefore Sword, Gold and Juno weren't evident in the store!) and was about to visit Normandy. For a person travelling to the beaches they are brilliant, not only looking at the beaches but the areas surrounding them where the Airborne effort was concentrated. All the sites you would need to see are here, how you get to them, or, for some, how you find them, is invaluable for the first time student. Also the series gives a good overview of the particular landing and subsequent battles that ensued once the Allied forces had established the beachhead. Full marks if you intend to visit Normandy and sufficient to give you a overview if you are a student of the battle.
