Gregory is a talented singer/songwriter. His voice and his music are powerful and magical. "Cathedrals" is a top indie hit. I love "Stay" as well as all the other songs in this collection.

Amazingly talented singer and songwriter, October 25, 2009

Sometimes a person just has to be in the right place at the right time to find an independent singer/songwriter. I had listened to one of Gregory Douglass's songs on iTunes and was impressed. Then I read a magazine article about him and checked out a few more songs and his website. The website mentioned a controversial music video on YouTube so I checked that out as well.
Gregory Douglass is a very impressive singer. Battler has some stand out songs for me--Cathedrals, Sadly and Broken Through come to mind. However, Battler is also one of those albums for me where I end up loving all the songs and that rarely happens.
Since discovering this amazing talent, I've gone on to buy most of his CDs...and there are many. All showcase the fact that Gregory Douglass is truly talented. I have also had the opportunity to see Gregory perform live. The most recent time was at a very intimate house party concert with about 35 people in a living room. What an incredible venue for this singer--his talent and personality both shine.
The most significant thing I could say about Gregory Douglass is this: I have been a Stevie Nicks fanatic for about 30 years. However, there are far more Gregory Douglass songs on my iPod than Stevie Nicks songs. Sorry Stevie.
