My kids seem to be having fun with this game. There is quite a bit of putting together to do out of the box though. You wont be pulling it out and playing. Just a heads up, I got this at Wal Mart for $19.99.

My daughter, son, and I have been playing this game every evening since we got it. They love it. The pegs are a little small, but the game overall is fantastic. It took me a while to figure out how to fit everything back into the box, but once I did, it was easy and everything fit well. The game assembles very quickly, and as long as you "snap" the little plastic legs into the little plastic holes on the plastic gameboard, it holds together very well.
The game plays like classic Battleship...until one of the ships has all it's holes filled with red pegs. Then, the one who identified the ship gets to shoot marbles at it three times. A solid hit will knock the ship right out of the "water". It takes careful aim, but it is so much fun to look through the periscope and ZAP!!! shoot the enemy ship with a torpedo. The first hit scores the most points. The second and third hits score successively less points. My six year old needs a little help with the search matrix, but he loves to shoot those marbles! Great game. Fun game. Available at Walmart.

In a nutshell, this product does not assemble the way it is intended to. After several attempts we got it together "sort of" but couldn't use the torpedo attack aspect of it (rendering it *just* a battleship game and a tiny, hard to manuever one at that.) My 8 yr. old was super excited to get this game but after one or two attempts to play it is sitting (and will likely continue to sit) on the shelf. Big dissapointment :-(

The guys were a bit put off by a broken part, though their dad was able to fix it. The shipper offered a replacement part if necessary. Still, the guys had a blast.

My grandaughter was delighted to have this game and she has been practing to improve her skills. My only problem with this product was its price. I use amazon for the covincence of shipping out of state and not having to fight the crowds at the mall. Amazon.com was the only site that had this game in stock. Unfortnually I did not do my research accurately. The price of this product was over $50.00 on the website and less than $20.00 at one of the best known big box discount stores. In defence of amazon, they were using an outside vendor.
