It's an error on the part of the Amazon reviewer -- both halves of Season 4 are included in the set (in one single volume). The guy screwed up when posting/editing his review.

dvd rot is very rare. cd rot was due to a improper seal on the cd. that mainly happened in the 80's. and was rare after that. however any cd or dvd left in a player with slowly get damaged. their is heat inside of players. that's why you remove them after playing.
