Giorgio's rendition of Battlestar Galactica was released on Casablanca Records in 1978. The entire title of the 12" Lp Record is "Music From Battlestar Galactica & Other Compositions From Georgio Moroder". Harold Faltermeyer also co-produced this album, Moroder's Battlstar Galactica is the best rendition i've heard to date. I purchased this 12" record album at our local K-Mart (3.99) when it was first released in 1978. I played Battlestar over & over & over. It was an important part of my childhood because Battlestar Galactica was my favorite Sci-Fi show at the time & i loved DISCO. I still obtain this classic 12" LP because of fond memories, i will never part with it. I was very surprised & excited to see it had finally been released on CD in Russia. It took me forever to find this CD & i paid a fortune for it, the cover/back artwork is beautiful and the female always reminded me of LYNDA CARTER (WONDER WOMAN), check out the pics i downloaded on Amazon. You can have the same quality & versions if you buy these 2 CDs. "MOVIE THEMES GO DISCO" it has the ENTIRE NON STOP side A Battlestar Galactica (medley) 16:20 & is CD quality, NOT VINYL RIPPED, re-mastered & sounds fantastic, high out-put!!! The other Giorgio Moroder CD is entitled "E=MC2" which has the song "EVOLUTION" (make sure you get the CD with the BONUS TRACKS). The song EVOLUTION was (side B) of Giorgio's Battlstar Galactica album and is 15:13 long, EXACT versions & lengths as the original 12" LP Record. So if you can not afford the Russian CD version this is your best option to own these 2 great songs for under 15 bucks. Also check out updated versions of EVOLUTION on Amazon's MP3 store, nice versions. There are to my knowledge these versions of EVOLUTION 1.Album version 15:13, 2.Edit version 4:29, 3."Remix" 14:00 (promotional version on RATED X Records), 4.Roger Sanchez Extra Terrestrial Mix 7:31........Track Listing is as follows on the 12" LP record & is the same as CD versions.
