I ordered this purely for nostalgic reasons. There are more recent editions of Battletech but they don't have any of the original 'Mechs. I understand this has to do with questions over who owns some of the images. I wanted the originals from back when I used to play with friends in high school and this did the trick.

If you enjoy tactical and impulsive play then this game is for you. You get everything you expect and more from this game, there are regular ground pounding tank busting mech all the way to the rare and transformish LAM (land air mech) which is given a total breakdown in the "Aerotech*Boxed Set" which is another great game in it self. All in all a great gaming experience. Enjoy.
