Battletoads in Battlemaniacs was an extremely difficult game (ex: the Cool Boarders level, the Snake Board and the Rocket Rollercoaster level). Seriously, when I first started this game, a couple of parts were nearly impossible. What made it worse was that there was nothing you could do about it besides get better and let's face it, that should be the payoff from playing most video games right?

I will admit that once you got good at the difficult parts (usually after the bikes because it felt like it was impossible), you got really good at the rest of the game. There were still parts here and there but other than that you could deal.

You play as either the much quicker Rash or the brutally strong Pimple. Either/Or, Battletoads will challenge you in a lot of different ways from playing the levels to defeating enemies to thinking of your strategy for this game.

The bad thing about this game is that it requires way too many hours considering that it doesn't have that many levels and it's just a Fighting/Action/Adventure. I played this game for at least 3 weeks before I finally got the hang of it.

If you're looking for a challenge than this is it for you. If all you need is a good "whooping" fixx than this is unfortunately not for you on the basis that you have to dedicate a lot of game time to it. If you need a good fighting fixx than I would suggest any other great fighting title that is on SNES such as Mortal Kombat II, Street Fighter II or Street Fighter Alpha (either is a great title). It's still a good game but if you don't have the committment for it, it's not worth it.

For the experienced or non-experienced battletoad gamer, most will find this version of battletoads to be quite challenging. This game is interesting non the less and will keep some players coming back for more even after continuous "game-overs".
The graphics are nicely done and the control quality is not great but decent. I only give Battletoads 3 out of 5 stars due to the frustration of trying to conquer the game. If you are someone who hates challenging games, you will most likely do one of three things to battletoads: #1- sell this game after failed attempts to conquer it, #2- slam it against the wall in anger, or #3- throw it in the trash and pity yourself for wasting money on it. As for me, this is one battletoad game that I have to use with the game genie in order to beat it.

Well I have had this game for a month and I can say I like it. The graphics and sound are good even to this day. The only down side is that it is VERY hard, I have had it for a month and I am still stuck on level 3. But all in all this is a great game for retro gamers and battletoads fans I recommed it

The reason I bought this game because i've heard it's one of the hardest games out there, and I like a challenge. The game its self is really entertaining, with the goofy art style, and rock'on music, really makes it a "one of a kind". The controlls are pretty simple; attack, and jump is really all you do. This is your basic beat'em up game, only, is very difficult. Most likely the farthest you'll get to is stage 3 ( if your lucky ). If this game had infinite lives, it would had been a very challange, but exciting game. You don't get alot of lives, and when you lose them all you start from the very begining... The game has so much going for it, like the gameplay, the funny animation, and great music, BUT fails to be great because you can't get very far...

Battletoads series has always been one of the better ones, the problem is all of there games are always hard. It took me many an hours to finally beat these Battletoads games, but a great game whether you can beat the whole thing or not. definitely worth the price of admission.

This is hard as hell, but it is a really game to play. Its a little short, but it is worth the money. Its even more fun when you play it on two player mode.

I dont really care for these type of fake animal/ lizard things moving and talking. But it is fun when u go back in time and play this old famous game. It is very fun on multiplayer because there is more people to beat the enemies. Which there is a lot of. The graphics r better than most snes games but it is still not very good. The sound is good and the music is very catchy and good. The controls for this game can be hard to get used to. The thing i do not like about it is it is a very hard game and the story is weird. I mean lizards and pigs fighting each other? It is weird. But unstead of the weirdness and how hard it is it is a fun fighting game.

if you played it 12 years ago you probably are getting it just like me! what a trip!
