An interesting game...
The library of games in the Battletech universe would be incomplete without this game. The line needed a game that focused on the infantry aspect of combat in the future. A very unique game, if low budget and unbalanced
This is the only infantry combat game fasa ever produced and evidently wasn't very popular, though a expansion called _Clan Troops_ was added later. The battle maps are boring cityscapes that only used blue, black and white, though rules for hills and forests are included. The combat is fast and furious, though several of the scenarios included appear not to have been...

This is the only infantry combat game fasa ever produced and evidently wasn't very popular, though a expansion called _Clan Troops_ was added later. The battle maps are boring cityscapes that only used blue, black and white, though rules for hills and forests are included. The combat is fast and furious, though several of the scenarios included appear not to have been tested very well and are likely unwinnable or very lopsided. Conceptually this game is excellent and probably one of the most unique ever to come out of Fasa corporation, but in actual play it has lots of problems.

The library of games in the Battletech universe would be incomplete without this game. The line needed a game that focused on the infantry aspect of combat in the future. The game is a good idea, but it leaves much to be desired as far as what you get. The game is simple and cannot cover the complexities that are inherent in small unit tactical combat. Despite this, the game plays relatively smoothly and adds another dimension to the battletech universe. I would recommend this game only to die hard Battletech fans.
