I bought these skates looking for an upgrade from a pair of CCMs I bought off a clearance rack. $200 is a decent chunk of change, but you can really tell the difference in quality and comfort. I took these skates to get baked to break them in, and from the first shift in a pickup game, the level of comfort and familiarity was very high.

I recommend these to anyone looking to upgrade their skates to a "higher end" quality.

My 9-year old daughter has started playing hockey. I dug out my old Bauer Chargers so I could skate with her. Decided it was time for an upgrade, so I bought a pair of CCM RBZ 60s. I liked the stability of them, but remember that old Steve Martin thing about the "cruel shoes"? These CCMs positively killed my right pinky toe, due to a protruberance inside the boot. When I was skating with my little girl, I couldn't wait to get off the ice. Had them punched out, but still I wasn't happy. I went to Hockey Giant, and I really tried to spend $300-400 for some new skates, but these Nexus 400s were definitely the most comfortable. I can't say for how they might perform in a game since I don't play, I'm at best a casual skater, but I'm wearing them around the house right now for houseshoes (ok not really, but you get the idea.) Paid $139 at Hockey Giant in Plano, Texas.

Replaced my old pair of Vapors. These are comfortable skates and you won't find comparable for the price. I play a 2-3 nights a week and they hold up. After baking them they felt great. Was considering higher priced Nexus 600 or 800s Or the Reebok 16Ks. I decided to got the cheap route and so far so good! These aren't too heavy and the boot is sturdier than my old Vapors. If you play beer league or pickups, this is a good skate to consider.

I always wanted to have my skates. And I wanted to have a comfortable and quality. For rental skates always hurt my feet. Before buying researched a lot, and I chose this. My goal is not playing hockey, I want just to fun. when I tried the first time i feel myself no security for not having the "dent" in the front, but after 20 minutes I came to feel confident. And what I can gather is that it is extremely comfortable (it's the first time I've been on skates and do not feel pain after), the skates are light, and I gained speed very easily with minimal effort. The only bad thing are the laces shoes are not tightening. But overall it's a great skates, with stability, comfort and speed. I recommend.

Eu recomendo.
