I have a condition called Morton's Neuroma. I suffered for years and tried every drug store remedy known to man. I even paid over $100 once to have a 'Foot Doctor' make me a set of custom orthotics! No help! But then I found Bauerfeind's ViscoPed. The relief was immediate and I have never looked for another solution. That was 15 years ago! I guess it's time to order another pair... I wear them 100% of the time that I have any kind of shoe on; everyday, all the time. The metatarsal arch did the trick! They are comfortable and last almost forever (well, 15 years anyway). The only possible complaint is that they do take up some room in your shoe so I have to order shoes (extra wide for my condition!) that are one-half size larger.

Amazon's price is significantly lower than Bauerfielnd's online store. I should also mention that over the years I have bought countless items from Amazon. This is the first product that I have felt strongly enough about to write a review.

My podiatrist advised me to buy ViscoPed Insoles; and Bauerfeind delivered (quickly) just what the doctor ordered. I would not have believed that this product would have alleviated my pain (entirely); but they did. I have a tailors bunion and it would hurt terribly when I stood for long durations. It has also helped other areas of my feet that would hurt (the three major points of pressure that you use to walk/stand; if you have arches of any depth). I give this product an A++ and recommend this for anyone with foot pain; and do not buy imitations per the doctor. I agree.

If you have sore feet these are fantastic - I temporarily had a Morton's Neuroma type condition and these were amazing in letting me feel normal, and walk about without pain. There is an elevated dome of gel behind the metatarsals(just like what the podiatrist made for me), that some MIGHT find annoying, depending on your foot problem, but should be able to shave off with a razor if needed.
That said - long term use might not be good for your feet (see Superfeet webpage), though really after you browse enough on pros and cons of shoe inserts, you'll find lots of folks who say you should be as close to barefoot as possible, and that ANY shoe insert only weakens your feet further. For temporary relief these are great, think about strengthening your feet with specific exercises if you do buy them and only use temporarily.
