Designed with an 18-karat-gold-and-stainless-steel case, the timepiece includes a bold dodecagonal unidirectional bezel featuring 24-hour clock markers, and a two-tone-stainless steel link bracelet secured with a push-button-deployment clasp. A scratch-resistant-sapphire window shields the black dial, which features luminous dot hour markers with a Roman numeral index at the 12 o'clock position. The dial also includes slim white minute indexes, golden watch hands, and a date calendar at six o'clock. This Swiss-automatic-movement timepiece is water resistant to 660 feet (200 M).

The Baume & Mercier Story

Baume & Mercier has a rich history in storied tradition of Swiss watchmaking, now over 170 years. In 1830, brothers Louis Victor and Pierre-Joseph-Celestin Baume established the Baume Freres Watch firm in the Swiss Jura region--the heart of the Swiss watch industry. As business flourished in Europe a grandson of the founder, William Baume met Paul Mercier, a great lover of the arts and in 1918 they created a business partnership. The contrast of the rigorous, precise Baume with the artistic, free thinking Mercier fused form and function to create the traditions of perfection, quality, and luxury that still exist today.

In 1964, Baume & Mercier registered the Greek letter PHI as its brand logo, and it continues to be present on all Baume & Mercier designs. A symbol of the golden ratio and Leonard de Vinci's theory of proportion, it represents aesthetic elegance based on "divine proportions" that remain the brand's cardinal values.

the designers at Baume & Mercier utilize the goldmine of the company's over 175 years of watch-making history--from the oval of a crown to the graphics of a dial--to create the aesthetic contours of new timepieces. Actually has a problem with. Does he just think its ugly? What about the quality of the watch? baume et Mercier is second to none. If you like the style of this watch based on the picture you will love this watch. If you are obsessed with James Bond and want to dress like him then you obviously you may want to look elsewhere. But if you want an expertly crafted luxury watch from a company known the world over then this may be the watch for you.

Initially I saw them in the shop and despite having in my personal collection 2 OmegaS, Breitling and Panerai, I firmly decided to buy this perfect "time-keeper" one day, and not by the reasons of the very ETA's 2893-2 caliber or 11 grams of "yellow friend" :) used in this model but thanks to its overall perception and feasibility.
Passed some months and one day on the very Amazon they appeared with a very-very good promotional price... I took that opportunity and "voi-la" I periodically share with this perfect model my days and life...
Completely satisfied with the movement and quality of creation...even the polished details do not disturb my mind...
