I purchased this scope for hunting but found it to be great at all aspects of observation. I have had great results in using this scope for spoting deer, turkey, even an occasional bob cat. It is versital, not to heavy but able to seek out and bring close that which is out of reach. I wear glasses and the option for using the eye piece with them is very helpful when trying to locate and focus on a certain object or positions before viewing them through the scope. With the tripod it is a great stable platform for getting the view you are wanting to see. I plan to purchase the camera adapter so as to be able to photograph many of the things I love to track and view. Highly recomend the purchase and use of this telescope.
