Boston is the replacement of B&L Wetting and Soaking Solution.

The first time I used it, as soon as I put my contact lens into my eyes, it BURNED -- like getting lemon juice in my eye.

Kroger does sell original as well as many drug stores including Walgreen and CVS.

If they had ZERO stars, I would give it ZERO.I loved the first original Bausch and Lomb solution. Then they came out with Advanced and my eyes gucked up all day long. Then they brought back original. Fine.

"Improved it." Mediocre.

This last revision of the formula caused me an expensive visit to the eye doctor. I had serious allergic reaction that caused red eyes and scratchiness and discomfort comparable to conjunctivitis. I could not wear my contacts for days. I am not happy and will have to find another brand. Too bad. B&L was the only one that had good viscosity.

It took several days before the allergic reaction built up. BEWARE. If you use this product, note the date you started. If you get a reaction, contact your doctor and the company.

This "Boston" solution is actually the old Bausch and Laumb solution, re-named and re-priced. This is a good solution, but back when it was called B&L, it cost much less, plus it was a 4 ounce bottle. Now they call it Boston, which is not the same as the old Boston solution, and raised the price...a lot. Amazon's price is comparable to other retailers, so I do not fault Amazon. It just irks me when a company renames a product, makes the bottle smaller, then jacks the price up.

I used Bausch & Lomb (Sensitive Eyes) Wetting and Soaking Solution for Rigid Gas Permeable and Hard Contact Lenses since 1999 because Alcon stopped making Soac-Lens Wetting and Soaking Solution.

Both products were SUPERIOR to anything that is out there today.

Boston is the replacement of B&L Wetting and Soaking Solution.

My eyes do not like Boston. Sorry B&L. You need to bring back the previous Wetting and Soaking Solution.

With Boston, the lenses feel dry and scratchy within 30 minutes! And progressively get worse up to 4 hrs. at which time they interfere with my work day.

With the previous B&L Wetting and Soaking Solution, I could get an 18 hr. COMFORTABLE wear time, easy.

B&L Wetting and Soaking Solution Fan Page is on FaceBook.

This was cheaper than Walmart and the shipping was free. You can't beat that. This is the best conditioning solution for perma-gas contacts...

I've used the original formula for at least 25 years. I tried the new 'improved' 'advanced' several times and as many have said already, my eyes burned and were not comfortable. I believe its an allergy to the preservative chemicals in the advanced solution. Even my optometrist only gets the advanced version. And Costco now only sells advanced; they used to sell original. Kroger does sell original as well as many drug stores including Walgreen and CVS. I save a little by buying online but beware--the online retailers sell almost expired bottles. It must be sitting in their inventory for years. Same issues are true of the original and 'advanced' cleaner (red top) for gas perms. I'd switch to soft lenses as 99% of population seems to but my hard lenses give me much better vision and little maintenance.

I have bought the original formula Boston Conditioning Solution for more than 20 years. Then, when I didn't see the original formula on store shelves, but saw this in a box that was very similar, I bought this -- the so-called "improved" formula. The first time I used it, as soon as I put my contact lens into my eyes, it BURNED -- like getting lemon juice in my eye. I don't know what they did to the formula, but obviously, I can't use it.

I didn't use the advance formula when it first came out years ago because that solution was much thinner than the original one and, for me at least, didn't provide any cushioning.

So now I can't use any of the Boston conditioning solutions and will have to search for something else from another company. I have no idea what Bausch and Lomb were thinking, messing with a formula that many were happy with for many years.

Have used this product for over twenty years. Keep using the original because I am allergic to all of the "new and improved" conditioners that B & L market. This one is a must for me and has never let me down!

I have had trouble finding this in the drug stores. All of the newer more "advanced" brands bother my eyes and make them itch. I am thankful that I was able to purchase this contact solution in bulk from amazon.
