5.0 out of 5 stars Eye Vitamins
For all those mature individuals with the early stages of Macular degeneration, I highly recommend this product, after using this for less than one month, I can detect an improvement in my eyesight. It is a bit costly but well worth it as the product does work!!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't be fooled by AREDS 2
You may want to do the math before you get suckered into buying the "new and improved" Areds2 version of this vitamin. The only difference between the original "Lutein" formula and the new Areds2 formula is the addition of 1000 mg of Omega 3. However, you now need to take 4 (four) Areds2 tables daily instead of only 2 (two) tablets of the original Lutein formula. OK,...

When I was diagnosed with the start of AMD, my doctor told me to take these vitamins. I don't know how much of my stabilization/improvement relates to the vitamins, but I give them at least some of the credit. However, these are NOT to be taken if you haven't been diagnosed - they are a heavy dose with other side effects.

This writer's ophthalmologist recommended AREDS several years ago; the effects were evident within a couple of weeks. All the white lines on the streets were suddenly looking freshly painted and night vision became "like old times" in that glare was minimized. I never miss my morning and evening dosage of one gel cap and truly hope that AREDS continues to allay macular degeneration as effectively as it has during my continued use.

I've been taking the Bosch & Lomb PreserVision and 20mg of Lutein for over 5 years for early stage macular degeneration; and there has been no progression of the disease during this time.

These new gel AREDS are much easier to take then the old formala. They are about half the size & you only take two per day instead of four. You must take them with food as they will probably bother your stomach if you don't. Over time they are suppose to help ageing eyes.

With macular degeneration wet type, it is not easy to say this product is a miracle, but I count on Food and Drug ok and eye specialist so take it as prescribed. I must say, with this product plus eye injections every 8 weeks, my eyesight has been saved. I no longer have those center eye spots, although the left eye is not as good at seeing as right eye.

My ophthalmologist told me to take these to impede the development of macular degeneration. What's good about this particular brand is that the capsules are smaller than others and only two per day are needed instead of the usual four. Is it helping with my very early stage and symptom-less macular degeneration? I have no idea. Ask me again in ten years.

Recommended by my eye doctor to preserve the small amount of sight I have left. I like this product because I only have to take 1 capsule 2 times a day instead of 4 tablets. The capsules slide down easy also..

I have AMD (Age Related Macular Degenration) Preservision has always been recommended by my doctor. It is, however, quite expensive. I was very pleased to be able to save a few dollars per bottle at Amazon.

I have been taking these over a year together with Lutein and Zeaxanthin. When I went in for my annual check up there was no change, so it is working for me. I have the beginning stages, hopefully with this regiment I can continue to keep it that way, hopefully, it will go away. My Father had Magular Degeneration, and I was told it runs in the family.
