5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Guide to Clothing-Optional Recreation in English
The latest edition of the "World Guide" is better than ever. I've purchased most of the other guides for clothing-optional recreation available in English, and the "World Guide" covers many more nude hot springs, free beaches, and nudist clubs than anything else in print. I've been to most of the places in the Pacific Northwest that the guide talks...

3.0 out of 5 stars For what it is worth
It's true you have to double check the info -- but he tells you that several times -- every one know that goes double outside the US -- but it is a very good resource and starter guide for those new to this -- as long as you remember that things are always changing out there -- this is diffently a good place to start

The latest edition of the "World Guide" is better than ever. I've purchased most of the other guides for clothing-optional recreation available in English, and the "World Guide" covers many more nude hot springs, free beaches, and nudist clubs than anything else in print. I've been to most of the places in the Pacific Northwest that the guide talks about, and so far the directions and descriptions have been accurate and up to date. I take xeroxed copies of relevant pages with me as my wife and I travel from state to state, and from country to country. The photography is also fantastic. The publisher is not ashamed of using complete nudity, but it is not at all "racy." I've shown this book to my friends to help explain what naturism is all about.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best guide available for clothing optional leisure., May 8, 1998

This review is from: Lee Baxandall's World Guide to Nude Beaches and Resorts (1998) (Paperback)
This is clearly the best guide to family-friendly clothing optional recreation that is written in English. Most of the other naturist guides tell you about clothing optional hot springs, OR nudist clubs, OR nude beaches. But Baxandall's book covers them all...from the Caribbean to the USA, from Asia to Europe. The photographs are beautiful and of "coffee table" quality. I recommend this book to anyone interested in non-lewd nude recreation.

5.0 out of 5 stars The definitive compact guide to places for nude recreation., March 22, 1999
By A Customer
Lee Baxandall has crafted a reasonably concise and complete guide to areas where nudity may be enjoyed. This includes formal and informal nude beaches, with detailed directions on how to get there, and also includes established nudist resorts from around the world. This compliments the North American Guide to Nude Recreation. The photographs show happy, relaxed people of all ages unashamedly enjoying the freedom of nudisty in various settings. This book gives a good overview of the nudist lifestyle.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Necessity for Nudist Travelers, December 1, 1999

The best resource of its kind and its updated regularly by the publishers who manage to keep current by maintaining contact with contacts worldwide. 'Holy Nature the Book' is great for those interested in Family Naturism in Russia and 'The North American Guide' is good for the U.S. (both available through Amazon as well).

5.0 out of 5 stars Dr. Leisure's choice for information on nude recreation., July 3, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: Lee Baxandall's World Guide to Nude Beaches and Resorts (1998) (Paperback)
Dr. Leisure is the number one provider of information on nude recreation on the internet. Lee Baxandall's World Guide is the best and most comprehensive published source of information available that I know of. Great photography! And perhaps more importantly, accurate information and directions on how to find the beaches/resorts listed. DrLeisure.com

3.0 out of 5 stars above average resource, May 9, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Lee Baxandall's World Guide to Nude Beaches and Resorts (1998) (Paperback)
In regards to the earlier publication (90), I found that the beaches were no longer clothing optional. Primarily: Mexico, French West Indies, and Kauai. The guide was only l-2 years old and I found it inaccurate. Conclusion: Status of beaches changes over short time. You can be very unwelcomed at some of the sites Lee suggests in earlier edition.
