To be clear, this is not the famous Eames Eiffel chair (or rather, it's still not its direct descendent, the one with the wooden legs). It's not the Eiffel chair. It's clearly plastic instead of fiberglass, and the plastic is a bit soft at that.

But that being said, it does LOOK a lot like the Eiffel chair. It's well built, sturdy, and shipped with care. Quick to assemble. I won't claim that some people won't think you bought it at Ikea, but it does look much better than most of the ikea chairs i've tried, and in my opinion it feels sturdier as well. It's beautiful and feels at home next to much pricier items.

For the price, I'm ecstatic. And besides, wasn't the Eiffel chair designed to be cheap anyway? Perhaps this cheap plastic edition is more in the spirit of Eames' original vision than those other more expensive reproductions you're likely to find these days. Either way, I'm quite happy.

My wife and I ordered these chairs with a little apprehension since we hadn't seen them in person but they're great! Easy to assemble and REALLY comfortable. We have a very small home and these serve as accent chairs in our living room but can be pulled into the dining room if we have company over for dinner.

We are VERY pleased with them.

They're also great for reading because they have a comfortable seat, arm rests and kind of force you to have good posture (but not in an uncomfortable way). Sure we'd like to spring for the fiberglass version but these are a great, less expensive substitute!

I purchased these chairs for my son's room and I could not be more happy with them! - they are even better than I expected! They arrived very quickly (even with free super saver shipping from amazon), were easy to assemble (just a few screws) and are actually quite sturdy! I've owned them for a week so far and can see them lasting for quite a while. I would definitely recommend these chairs to anyone!

I thought these chairs were going to be cheap in quality for their price. Turns out they are really well made and extremely sturdy. They look great in our Mid-Century Modern themed living room as accent chairs.

I knew my daughter loves modern and minimalist furniture so when she moved out into her new apartment I ordered this great armchair set for her flat. The chairs arrived quick, in great quality and my daughter loves her beautiful and stylish new chairs.

I needed to get some chairs to put around my office so people could hang out and feel comfortable. I looked for something that could fit with the style of my office and found these at a great price, here's the problem... When you buy something that's super white you really want it to start out bright white and know that you'll be responsible for scuffing it up or getting marks on it. One of the chairs in the set has a nice brown smudge on the "arm" that won't rub off. I might have to take a heavy duty sponge or brill-o to it.

I guess you get what you pay for.

Having sat in an original fiberglas shell and a newer Herman Miller plastic version, I was a little apprehensive getting these chairs considering how much cheaper they are compared to getting the real deal. As other reviewers have said, the plastic has a fair amount of give, which I think makes the chair more comfortable; however it also makes it feel slightly "cheap". It actually doesn't feel that different from the new Herman Miller ones, which are also made of plastic, with the main differences being a lack of color choices and a rougher, less polished feel to the plastic on the shell.

They shipped them reasonably quickly and arrived in one huge box well packaged. They were simple enough to put together, however there was some paint or plastic residue in the screw holes on the bottom of one of the shells where it attaches to the base, and I had a little trouble getting it seated properly. The non-marring feet were an ugly brown color and didn't actually look very non-marring, so I replaced those with new ones from home-depot.

Additionally, I found that I needed to re-tighten after a month or two, which isn't really any different from anything I've gotten from ikea. Overall, though, they've been well worth the money and I highly recommend them.

These chairs are an excellent value for the money. The company has been very easy to deal with and incredibly responsive. We had a minor delivery issue that they took care of immediately. The chairs were very easy to assemble and add a lot of cheer to my office. The only issue I can see with them is that there is a small recess in the plastic seat at the point where the legs attach underneath. It is only visible in certain lights or can be felt if you run your hand over the chair. I would not hesitate to buy these chairs again and in fact may buy more for my house.

The chairs look good, are inexpensive, but one of the chairs could not be assembled completely because of the missing thread in one of the four holes tapped for screws. This chair died after a week or two of not so heavy usage.

Bought 8 of them for the dinning table- Very comfortable. Only 4 arrived at first, but when I called they were very prompt and sent the other 4 right away. They look nice- its just too plasticky... I guess fro the price they are awesome!
