The field recordings on the included cd are breathtakingly magnifiscent. The voices emerging through a sea of rainforest wildlife and echoing through the trees are mesmerizing.

This extraordinary package comprises an 88-page book rich in color photographs and explanatory narrative along with a CD based on recordings made in the wild by Louis Sarno and mixed by electronic music pioneer Bernie Krause, who contributed an essay on the relationship between natural ambient sounds and musical creation. The net result is a remarkable CD that never sounds like a novelty, but always sounds musically rewarding and spiritually uplifting.
