4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use and does the job
Just got this product and used it to change a recessed floodlight from our 15 foot high angled ceiling. Worked like a charm using the suction-cup attachment. No problems, and replacing the new light was only a bit trickier but with some trial and error and gentle manipulation was able to get the bulb into the socket and twist it in with no problem. The pole is lightweight...

3.0 out of 5 stars right tool but needed more help
this is a great tool and has multiple heads so you can change for different types of lights but we have a hanging light in our stairwell and we needed to buy a claw handle tool to hold the light fixture in place while using this light bulb changer. once we got the claw, everything worked well. price seemed to be good, too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use and does the job, November 29, 2007
Just got this product and used it to change a recessed floodlight from our 15 foot high angled ceiling. Worked like a charm using the suction-cup attachment. No problems, and replacing the new light was only a bit trickier but with some trial and error and gentle manipulation was able to get the bulb into the socket and twist it in with no problem. The pole is lightweight but reasonably sturdy and stable though I wouldn't go flipping it around or torquing the thing. As long as you tighten down the telescoping pole and take things slow I can't see how this device wouldn't do what its supposed to do. Given that using a ladder for tall jobs in the home isn't practical, this pretty much pays for itself as you would have to get a professional to change the bulb in such situations. While one person could do the job handily, if the pole is fully telescoped it might make handling it difficult for some people and having a helper may be a benefit. Only down side I can see is that in some circumstances certain people might have difficulty with controlling the pole when fully extended or twisting the pole to unscrew the bulb (for those with muscle problems or arthritis, for instance.) In that situation an automated option like a remote controlled device to twist the bulb out might be a plus. Otherwise, I highly recommend. Also, the pole can be used for dusting, window washing, squeegee attachments, etc.

3.0 out of 5 stars Get it cheaper elsewhere, December 4, 2004

I have seen this exact same Bayco product sell for less than $40.00 elsewhere. Even Home Depot sells it for less.

5.0 out of 5 stars lightbulb changing extension pole worked as advertised, January 12, 2008
Product was exactly what I needed to get to my lights in my great room. Althought, the extenstion handle could have been a little sturdier. When fully extended, it bowed a little and was a little shaky. Other than that, it worked great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Light bulb changer, December 29, 2007
Very good quality. Sturdy product. Longer than most. I could not find one that would reach my tall ceilings, but Amazon came through. I also use this to clean the nasty cobwebs that appear in the corners of my tall ceiling, but attaching a "Swifter Duster" to the pole and it works great!

The best thing I have ever purchased! Being affraid to death of heights, this has paid for itself in the fact that I don't have buy anti-anxiety meds just to climb my ladder! Worked perfectly....within ten minutes, I changed three bulbs in my fan that is about 17 ft high. Love, love, love this product!!! Highly recommend!!!

I didn't think it would work, but it does, and very well. I grew weary of dragging our very heavy, little giant ladder up from the garage into the great room to change lightbulbs in the high ceiling.

Now, I can use this instead - great.
