This product saved my sod last year! We had kind of a busy summer - building a fence out back ourselves, other building projects going on (covered sandbox, raised garden beds), made over a laundry room, and I was in training for a half marathon. The grass, sadly, got neglected. Our house (and grass!) is only 2 years old, so the first summer we didn't really have to do much to the grass to keep it looking good. This made me complacent...
All of a sudden the grass started dying. We were INFESTED with grubs and those little Japanese beetle things. Gross, unsightly, and potentially causing thousands in damage. No thank you. We live on a large corner lot with most of the corner being lovely grass on display to the neighborhood... having it all die was unacceptable! I researched a bit and found this to be a highly recommended product. Was able to order online for much cheaper than my local hardware store (sorry local businesses...! I support them generally if they are only a little more, but in this case they were almost double the cost.) and it came quickly. Within a couple of days, the beetles were gone. Hurrah!
That just revealed all the SLUGS we had... but that is a story for another post. If your lawn is getting patchy and you have been watering it adequately, try this stuff out. It just might save you the cost of new sod or reseeding. :) I will be reapplying this stuff religiously every year, earlier than August though, to catch the grubs while they are still grubs and not full grown flies (who have eaten their way to life through my precious grass).

I do not know how it works on grass. I checked it on my flower bed. I am sure, I had grubs in my yard, but they did not bothered me or my plants ,until....I planted small daylily seedlings in October(zone 8b) and 5 of them ( out of 20) were lost.I killed many grubs by digging out plants and checking the roots before treatment. After treatment(4 days) I found 2 grubs. Now all seedlings doing OK. I think this product works, and better to apply it before nice rain or with good long "shower". But keep eyes open. It doesn't kill 100% grubs for the first treatment. My only concern is about safety of the future harvest from fruit trees that have roots close to treated area. So far it is only one option for emergency situation like mine.

Shipping costs were much too high and the box arrived with one bag of the material broken. There was NO packing in the box to protect the contents. One would think that with the high shipping and handling costs that it would have been done properly.
