4.0 out of 5 stars The 2300 Module for Referees who want their own campaign., April 22, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Bayern (2300AD role playing game) (Paperback)
_Bayern_ is a two-year exploration mission to the Pleiades and back. Players become members of the Astronomishen Rechen-Institut. This campaign is perfect for Referees who like to "roll their own", instead of using the 2300 background. There is also a "secret"; the AR-I has more than just one reason for sending the crew there... something odd is going on, in the Pleiades! Unfortunately, the Referee will have to do some work on the starship Bayern, as there are no maps of the interior. Also, generation of the solar systems passed through is up to the Referee, as is the creation of most of the adventures! The two adventures provided in the Module are interesting, however, and two new alien races are encountered. One, the "Endians", have fallen to near savagery after a nuclear war. The other is so advanced as to be non-understandable.
