Baygard (Parmak) does not package or sell 14 gauge aluminum wire in 164 ft. rolls; only 16 gauge wire. Amazon needs to changed their description on this so it is accurate. I am going to keep the 16 gauge wire and try it out. I am attempting to add hot wire to my existing chain-link fence so my 80 lbs. Rhodesian Ridgeback dog will no longer climb the fence.

I purchased an electric fence kit for a backyard installation knowing the included wire was too short. I replaced the short included wire with this spool, which turned-out to be near perfect length for the area I wanted to cover. The Labrador Retriever no longer goes near the fence.

bought this to use on a chain mail vest, using lighter aluminum over steel. Its a lot easier to work with and much more costume worthy.
