I'll get straight to the point, this game is amazing. I have not been able to stop playing it since I got.

The game play is the best part of this game. It could take a couple minutes of getting used to at first but you will eventually become a pro. What I love is that there are many different weapons in the game so that you will definitely find something to fit your play style. This game is bigger and better than the first one and there are always amazing set pieces or huge monsters to fight. It really feels like a non stop roller coaster ride. This is a game that you feel compelled to replay over and over. Yes, Bayonetta is nice to look at, but it would all mean nothing if the game wasn't fun, thankfully its amazing.

The graphics are a big upgrade from the first one. The art direction and attention to detail is quite admirable. As far as the music goes... I'm not the type of person that listens to poppy music. That being said, the music in this game is amazing! Fighting enemies to girly versions of Tomorrow Is Mine and Moon River was a blast. I could not get these songs out of my head and will definitely buy the soundtrack when its released. The orchestral music is amazing as well.

The story is even wackier than the first one, I love it! I really didn't think I would like it that much, its not that its groundbreaking or anything, but the characters are just really charming. Its hard not to get some good laughs here and there. However, I could also understand why you wouldn't like the story. You either love it or you don't. I loved it.

Please Wii U owners buy this game!!! We need to show game developers that we want games like this. Not just that, but this is just a really good game. It might end up being game of the year for many game sites.

It was somewhere between riding a flaming unicorn through the underworld and surfing on a jet through hoards of angels and demons that something hit me. Throughout my entire playthrough of Platinum's much-anticipated "Bayonetta 2," there was not an instance in which I felt the game peaked. Most good modern games have a peak moment, a moment where everything works and the experience is a breathless, exhilarating thrill ride. Everything after that, nothing is quite the same. Yeah, the rest of the game is good and all, but it never reaches the crescendo that one moment managed to hit. It's unreasonable to expect that most games would be good throughout the entire thing, though. After all, barely anything can be entirely good, through-and-through, right?

That's what I thought, anyway. But Hideki Kamiya and company have proved that assumption wrong for the first time in many, many a year. There is no downward spiral in "Bayonetta 2," no definitive "this is it moment." That sensation of peaking, of a dramatic climax, begins when the first cutscene appears, and only lets up when the last credit rolls. The whole game is a non-stop thrill ride that constantly trumps itself, what with the ridiculous set pieces, gawdy comedy, flawless controls, fantastic aesthetics... the list goes on. The point is, Nintendo has put out not only put out my top contender for Game of the Year, but perhaps a modern classic as well.

You would be fooled to think that by the plot. Not that it's bad, per se, but like everything else on display here it is a display of utter ridiculousness. Bayonetta's former rival and now bestie Jeanne has her soul dragged to the depths of the underworld, and the titular witch has to go all "Dante's Inferno" and rescue her.

I am loving this game! It starts off with a bang with great storytelling, epic battles, and amazing music. Very cinematic opening. Now to be clear this game is rated M for mature, and it definitely is. Language and brief nudity, more like to tease and leave to the imagination. But that doesn't take away from an amazing game. The gameplay mechanics are great! It's essentially everything you know from the first. But don't fear if you never played the first, Nintendo generously included it at no additional cost! This game is a great value and should be in every Mature Wii U owners library and for non Wii U owner Bayonetta fan's it's definitely a reason to own one. Do yourselves a favor and don't skip out on it! Even now the main theme that plays when you battle is stuck in my mind! (Tomorrow is Mine)

Tons of fun. I can't stop playing, and the North American version comes with both Bayonetta 1 and 2! It's over the top in the best possible ways. Definitely not for children though. Although the "M" rating should have told you that.

I played the original Bayonetta when it was released back in 2009 and I loved every minute of it. Fast forward to 2014, and the sequel is finally released. Bayonetta 2 improves on the original in every way possible. The game is beautiful and runs flawlessly at 60 fps, also the pacing and narrative of the story is much improved over the original. However, the real star is still the game play. Fast, fun, fanatic, and skilled based, it's easily the best action hack and slash game I've played in years. Also as a side note, it comes with the original, if you never got a chance to play it or want to replay it. So you're getting two games for the price of one!

If you own a Wii U this is a must buy, simple as that. Easily the best game on the system so far, and one of the contenders for game of the year.
